A classic cloisonné–enamel vase with silver mounts, its regal body embraced by naturalistically-rendered koi rising and plummeting among stylized, moriage waves. Sculpted in tones of salmon and warm gray, the fish swim in pale blue-green waters, their bodies musen, wired and moriage. The subject of this regal vase with it renditions of rising koi, symbolizes determination and success. Unsigned, but attributed to the work of Ando. Height, 12". Meiji Period.
